You Can Help

I am overwhelmed by your support in our mission to receive the treatment I require.

The application is in OHTAC's hands right now.
It is expressly forbidden to contact members of the Assessment Committee Review Panel regarding technology that is under review.

I can only get treatment if the Ministry of Health and its Divisions recognize gastric pacemakers as a standard of care for patients with severe gastroparesis.
Letters that discuss the need to include Gastric Electrical Stimulation in OHIP's list of insured services may be sent to:

Hon. George Smitherman
Minister of Health and Long Term Care
80 Grosvenor St., 10th Fl.
Hepburn Block
Toronto, ON M7A 2C4

Please send a copy of your correspondence to your own M.P.P.
Find your M.P.P.
and copy to:

Ted Chudleigh, M.P.P., Halton
100-192 Main St E.
Milton ON L9T1N8

Murray Martin, President and CEO Hamilton Health Sciences

Hamilton, ON L8N3Z5

Ms. Mary MacLeod, Director, Specialty Adult Services

Send a letter to the hospital stating it's necessary that Hamilton Health Sciences allocates funding to the Gastric Electrical Stimulation Therapy Program to help patients with severe Gastroparesis.
